It seems that Middle Eastern cuisine is having a moment in the DC food scene. It is nearly impossible for us to resist the flavor of kebabs and grills that are beginning to permeate the city, so we find ourselves at these Middle Eastern food chains quite often. Sheesh Grill is one of those restaurants that we visit multiple times a month. This chain shines above the others that share its category, with its beautiful yet subtle interior and cleanliness.

We have tried almost all the items from the menu by now, but the chicken kabab, chicken kubideh, fries, and chickpeas deserve their own shout out. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch in between working hours, or a comforting supper with your significant other, Sheesh Grill allows you to customize your bowl like other fast casual restaurants. Our favorite bowl consists of chicken kabob, smooth and buttery basmati rice, a sprinkle of saffron, salad, and fries. Three delicious sauces, with the perfect mixture of sweet, sour, and savory spices brings out the best flavors of the kabobs.

If you’re looking to feed a large crowd without having to cook, consider ordering catering from Sheesh Grill. You will wow guests or colleagues with all kinds of gyro, kubideh, kabobs, and all the sides. The trays are a great value for the price and will not just satisfy everyone at your get-together, but give them a treat as well.

One of the beautiful things about the human race is that we have not just added flavor to food but allowed food to flavor our existence.
